4K Front Camera
Every package includes the Thinkware U3000 Pro 4K front camera.
The front camera records in up to 4K UHD (3840 × 2160) at 30fps and uses a high-resolution Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor to capture excellent levels of detail in both daytime and low-light conditions.
The U3000 Pro also features advanced technologies including:

2K Rear Camera
Choose a Front + Rear configuration to add a dedicated rear-facing camera.
The rear camera records in 2K QHD, giving you high-quality footage of vehicles and incidents occurring behind your car.
A front and rear setup provides much greater overall coverage than a front camera alone and can be particularly useful for recording rear-end collisions, incidents while reversing and events occurring behind the vehicle.
The rear camera is discreetly installed with its wiring concealed wherever possible for a clean, professional finish.

Infrared Cabin Camera
The optional Infrared Cabin Camera provides an additional view of the interior of your vehicle.

4G LTE Module – View Your Cameras Remotely
Add the optional 4G LTE Module to turn your compatible U3000 Pro installation into a connected vehicle security system.
When used with Thinkware Connected, LTE provides an internet connection for supported remote features, including the ability to remotely view supported camera feeds from your phone.
This means you can check on your vehicle when you’re away from it rather than having to physically return to the car before accessing the dash cam.
Depending on the available Thinkware Connected features and service, LTE can also provide functionality such as:
- Remote camera viewing
- Parking impact notifications
- Vehicle location information
- Vehicle status information
- Remote monitoring and connected alerts
This makes the LTE Module particularly useful for customers who regularly leave their vehicle parked away from home, park in public car parks or simply want an additional level of connected vehicle security.
Important: mobile network coverage and the appropriate Thinkware Connected service/data plan are required for connected functionality.
The LTE Module and Interior Cabin Camera cannot be used simultaneously, so configurations containing a cabin camera are offered without LTE.
LTE subscription: THINKWARE CONNECTED uses mobile data and requires an applicable service subscription. The LTE module is not included in every camera configuration, and LTE cannot be combined with the interior cabin camera.
OPTIONAL UPGRADE | DEDICATED POWER
External Battery – Uninterrupted Parking Protection
For customers who want to maximise the U3000 Pro’s Parking Mode capabilities, we offer the option of adding a dedicated external dash cam battery.
While you’re driving, the external battery is charged by the vehicle. Once the ignition is switched off, the dash cam can use the dedicated battery to continue operating in Parking Mode rather than relying solely on the vehicle’s starter battery.
The two major advantages are:
- Helps prevent vehicle battery drain from prolonged dash cam use while parked.
- Provides extended, uninterrupted Parking Mode protection after the vehicle has been switched off.
This makes an external battery particularly worthwhile for vehicles that spend long periods parked, vehicles that aren’t driven every day, vehicles with sensitive battery-management systems, and owners who want to maximise parking surveillance.

SURVEILLANCE | WHEN PARKED
Advanced Radar Parking Mode
The U3000 Pro is designed to provide advanced surveillance even when you’ve left your vehicle.
Its built-in radar technology can monitor for activity around the vehicle while consuming significantly less power than conventional continuous recording methods.
When an event is detected, the dash cam can capture footage relating to the incident.
The U3000 Pro also provides multiple Parking Mode options, allowing the installation to be configured according to how the vehicle is used.

Which camera setup should I choose?

What resolution does the front camera record in?

What is the cabin camera for?

This enables supported features such as remote camera viewing from your phone, parking notifications, vehicle location information and remote monitoring, subject to network coverage and Thinkware’s applicable service.
Can I view my dash cameras when I’m away from my vehicle?
With the LTE Module and Thinkware Connected, supported remote camera views can be accessed over the mobile network. This makes LTE particularly useful if you want to check on your vehicle while you’re away from it.
Can I have the LTE Module and Cabin Camera together?
No. The LTE Module and Interior Cabin Camera cannot be used simultaneously on the U3000 Pro. Our available configurations have been arranged accordingly.
What does the External Battery do?
The External Battery provides a dedicated power source for the dash cam when the vehicle is switched off. This allows the U3000 Pro to continue operating in Parking Mode without relying solely on your vehicle’s starter battery.
Will an External Battery help prevent my car battery from going flat?
Yes. One of the main reasons for installing a dedicated dash cam battery is to reduce the drain placed on the vehicle’s main starter battery during Parking Mode. The dash cam can instead use the dedicated external battery once the vehicle is switched off.
Does the External Battery give me longer Parking Mode recording?
It can significantly improve the practicality of extended Parking Mode because the dash cam has a dedicated power source. Actual operating time will vary depending on the camera configuration, Parking Mode settings, battery capacity, temperature and usage.
Can I have LTE and an External Battery together?
Yes. On compatible configurations, you can select both LTE and an External Battery. This is a strong option for customers wanting connected remote monitoring alongside dedicated Parking Mode power.
