Your Keys Are No Longer
the Only Line of Defence.
Modern vehicle theft can involve more than simply taking a
physical key. Ghost adds an independent driver-authorisation
requirement before the vehicle can be driven.
That means obtaining vehicle access or possessing a functioning
key does not, by itself, satisfy Ghost’s driver-authorisation
requirement.

Already Have Ghost II?
The introduction of Ghost III does not mean a correctly
functioning Ghost II installation has suddenly stopped
providing protection. Ghost III is particularly relevant
for new installations and vehicles using newer electronic
architectures.

Ghost III is discreetly installed within the vehicle and
communicates through its electronic networks. There is no
large aftermarket numerical keypad advertising the presence
of the system.

Ghost uses compatible controls already fitted inside the

Create a personalised sequence using compatible buttons

What is the Autowatch Ghost 3?
Ghost III is the latest generation of the Autowatch Ghost
immobiliser platform. It adds updated hardware, dual CAN
support and CAN-FD capability while retaining Ghost’s
driver-authorisation concept.
Is Ghost 3 replacing Ghost 2?
Ghost III is Autowatch’s newer-generation Ghost platform,
with Ghost II being phased out in favour of Ghost III.
What’s the difference between Ghost 2 and Ghost 3?
Ghost III introduces Autowatch’s newer hardware platform
along with dual CAN network and CAN-FD support.
What is CAN-FD?
CAN-FD stands for Controller Area Network Flexible Data-Rate.
It is an evolution of conventional CAN communication and is
increasingly used within modern vehicle electronic architectures.
Does Ghost 3 require a separate keypad?
Ghost is designed to use compatible existing buttons within
the vehicle for driver authorisation, so a conventional
aftermarket numerical keypad is normally unnecessary.
Can Ghost 3 help against keyless theft?
Ghost adds another driver-authorisation requirement rather
than relying solely on possession of the vehicle key.
No vehicle-security product can guarantee that a vehicle
cannot be stolen, so a layered approach to security is
recommended.
Can I change my Ghost PIN?
Yes. Your driver authorisation sequence can be changed
when required.
What happens when my car goes to a garage?
Ghost III provides a Service/Valet Mode for situations where
another person legitimately needs to operate the vehicle
without knowing your normal Ghost PIN.
Will Ghost 3 work with my vehicle?
Compatibility depends on the exact make, model, model year
