An immobiliser focuses on reducing the chance of unauthorised vehicle use. A locator adds visibility of vehicle whereabouts and security events. When fitted together, they offer complementary layers of protection rather than duplicating the same function.

LAYER 01 | DRIVER AUTHORISATION

Autowatch Ghost 3 Immobiliser – PIN-Based Theft Protection

The Autowatch Ghost III is the latest-generation Ghost immobiliser, designed for supported conventional CAN and modern CAN-FD vehicle networks. It integrates discreetly with vehicle electronics and requires driver authorisation before normal driving is permitted.

With a personalised sequence entered using selected existing factory buttons, a functioning vehicle key alone does not complete the Ghost authorisation step. The installation is configured to the make, model, year and available controls in your specific car.

Autowatch CANbot GPS Tracker – Ghost Link Connected Features

Autowatch CANbot adds GPS location monitoring, trip history and supported app-based security features to a compatible Ghost installation. In this Ghost 3 CANbot Package, CANbot is included alongside the new Ghost III, rather than sold as an add-on to a Ghost system you already own.

Using the Autowatch Ghost Link smartphone app, you can access compatible vehicle location information, history and supported security notifications. Available status information, event alerts and remote functions depend on your vehicle, Ghost setup, data connectivity and active CANbot service.

How the Ghost 3 CANbot Package Works Together

When you use the vehicle, Ghost III verifies your configured authorisation method before driving. CANbot works alongside the immobiliser to report compatible GPS and connected security information through the Ghost Link service. The two devices have different jobs but are installed and demonstrated as one coherent package.

The Ghost 3 CANbot Package can therefore suit owners of keyless vehicles, performance cars, luxury vehicles and everyday cars who want the combination of discreet authorisation and connected location visibility. No vehicle-security product can guarantee prevention of every theft attempt.

What happens after fitting?

• Drive: Enter your Ghost PIN or use an alternative method configured for your compatible installation.
• Check: Open Ghost Link to review supported location, trip and security information.
• Receive: Where supported, receive notifications about relevant security events.
• Service: Use Ghost Service/Valet Mode when another authorised person needs to move the car.
• Maintain: Keep the CANbot subscription active after the included 12-month period to retain its connected service.

CONNECTED DEVICE REQUIREMENTS

Ghost Link App, Data & Subscription Information

An active CANbot service, compatible smartphone and suitable mobile data and location coverage are required for connected functions. GPS availability and mobile-network reception can vary, including inside covered parking, underground areas and remote locations.

The Ghost 3 CANbot Package includes the first 12 months of CANbot subscription as part of the bundle. The currently quoted renewal from year two is £84 + VAT annually, billed directly by Autowatch. This renewal is distinct from the Ghost III immobiliser, which does not require a normal tracking subscription for its standalone PIN authorisation.

The Ghost Link app and available remote functions may change with manufacturer updates. App compatibility and supported vehicle control capabilities are confirmed during setup. The Ghost 3 CANbot Package is not described as a monitored, police-response Thatcham S5 or S7 service.

Unlike the standalone CANbot tracker listing, the Ghost 3 CANbot Package includes the Ghost III immobiliser itself. Unlike separate dash cam or S5 security packages, it does not include a Thinkware camera or a separate Thatcham S5/S7 tracking unit.

BIRMINGHAM WORKSHOP & ELIGIBLE MOBILE

Professional Ghost 3 + CANbot Installation

UTL Performance supplies and fits the Ghost 3 CANbot Package at our Birmingham workshop in Yardley, with mobile installation possible at suitable home or workplace addresses subject to coverage and vehicle requirements.

Typical combined fitting time is approximately three hours for a compatible vehicle; allow longer where vehicle-specific wiring, setup or testing demands it. The actual booking duration will be confirmed after your appointment request.

Workshop fitting

Choose your preferred available workshop appointment and bring your vehicle to our equipped Birmingham location. We can often offer faster workshop fitting, including same-day requests where availability and safe lead time permit. Appointments are not automatically confirmed until reviewed.

Mobile fitting

Select a suitable mobile installation enquiry and enter your full fitting address. Mobile security installations require at least four days’ notice and remain subject to address coverage, site conditions and technician availability.

To help us review your Ghost 3 CANbot Package booking, enter your registration or vehicle make, model and year. For mobile fitting, also provide the complete fitting address. We check the suitability of both systems after the booking request but before installation.

IMPORTANT TERMS

Price, CANbot Renewal & Vehicle Compatibility

Bundle price: The displayed bundle price covers the Ghost III and CANbot units, both supplied and standard professionally fitted to a compatible vehicle. Unlike a CANbot-only tracker upgrade, the immobiliser is included too.

Subscription: CANbot’s first 12 months are included. The currently quoted renewal is £84 + VAT (£100.80 including VAT) each year from year two, billed by Autowatch; renewal rates and billing details are subject to Autowatch’s current terms.

Compatibility: Ghost III and CANbot must both be suitable for the exact vehicle. Not all Ghost features, connected app controls or location information are available on every model. If any additional installation components or labour are needed, you will be contacted before fitting.

Insurance: CANbot is not marketed here as a Thatcham S5 or S7-approved tracker. If your insurer requires certified S5/S7 tracking, ask UTL Performance about an appropriate approved alternative.
